Fuel prices are set once a month by the Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources, on the first Wednesday.
August and September are the archived schedules; October is current. Earlier periods are provided on request once checked against the DMPR archive.

There is no VAT
on diesel.
Petrol and diesel are zero-rated for VAT in South Africa. Fuel is taxed through the General Fuel Levy and the Road Accident Fund levy, which already sit inside the rate.
Charging VAT on top would tax the same litre twice. A rate of R32.80 is R32.80.
